Overview
We seek a creative Web Developer who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team oriented, and highly interactive environment. The right candidate will contribute to the creative development of the design and user experience of our Web applications, be a self-starter and a strong communicator who works well with others and can quickly adapt to change. This position requires a strong set of Web development and all-around software development skills. Successful candidates must have a demonstrable portfolio of work.Function
- Utilizing design specifications, create web pages providing the user experience surrounding our interactive Web applications, predominantly in HTML and CSS.
- Create and execute unit tests for new development
- Update requirements, bug, and problem databases
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions
- Manage multiple assignments and align them with the business priorities & deadlines
- Support Operations in instrumentation of applications and components
- Work effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner
- Educate peers and staff with regard to the application as well as new technologies that may help drive the product forward or promote efficiencies
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years experience in a fast-paced web development environment
- Demonstrated ability to write concise, manageable and easy to read code
- Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS a MUST
- Experience using version control, requirements and bug tracking systems
- Excellent technical writing and reading
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented development environment
- Experience using Erlang or Python a plus
